Aircraft Structural Mechanic II

Yulista Contract Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Mechanic II to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in aircraft maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and repair damage to aircraft structural components, utilizing advanced metalworking practices and techniques.
  • Remove and install close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major aircraft structural components.
  • Advise on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment to maintain structural integrity.
  • Perform post-repair flight control weight and balance functions, as well as control surface rigging per designated technical orders.
  • Inspect components/repairs for structural serviceability according to specifications and technical publications.
  • Manufacture and use jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds to fabricate repair or replacement parts.
  • Utilize advanced metalworking practices, equipment, and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components.
  • Closes completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems.
  • Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
  • Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes.
  • Operates and maintains related aircraft Support Equipment (SE).
  • Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.
  • Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
  • Maintain strict tool control procedures.
  • Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor.
  • Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day-to-day maintenance.
  • Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment records.
  • Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of relevant aircraft depot level structural maintenance experience with fixed/rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
  • Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A753/2A773 highly desirable.
  • Multi-aspect aviation qualifications/certifications/disciplines highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoD contracts.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance required.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification a plus.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Calista shareholders and their descendants.

  • Shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
