Job Summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various types of medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and CT scanners.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and shielding.
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as needed.
  • Develop and process X-ray films.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and imaging results.
Requirements
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
