Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs. You will also interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of their complaint and instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics.

Responsibilities:
* Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
* Use diagnostic computers/software when applicable
* Perform remote triage to assist roadside breakdowns

Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred
* Basic tools required
* Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
* Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
* Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Benefits:
* Hourly pay: $36.28
* Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at 90 days
* Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
* Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter - four times per year
* Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc. start at 30 days
* Paid time off starts accruing at day one with 80 hours per year
* Additional day off for U.S. military veterans
