Recycling Facility Equipment Operator

Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Recycling Facility Equipment Operator to become part of our expanding team.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 6 AM
Incentive: $2,500 Retention Bonus

Compensation:
$20.00 per hour


In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, including loaders and balers, as well as trucks and smaller equipment within our recycling operations.

You will also play a key role in performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment.

In addition to competitive wages, we provide comprehensive family benefits, a 401k plan, vacation time, and opportunities for overtime throughout the year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Transferring recyclables onto an inclined conveyor belt
  • Feeding recyclable materials into a hopper
  • Loading dump trucks and open-top trailers, as well as managing piles of yard waste
  • Conducting inspections of equipment
  • Assisting customers and fellow team members as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience operating Forklifts and Balers
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Capability to perform duties in various weather conditions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
