Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team in Brighton, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Operating Room. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room workflow.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and surgical needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in Operating Room nursing.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in Operating Room nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
