Job Title: Tool Crib/Room Attendant

At Northern Gear and Machining, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tool Crib/Room Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our tooling is properly maintained, inventoried, and readily available for our machinists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records in our vending/matrix system.
  • Secure and organize tooling in a way that minimizes waste and maximizes efficiency.
  • Ensure that all tooling is properly kitted and ready for use on upcoming jobs.
  • Receive and store tooling in a timely and organized manner.
  • Recycle and scrap carbide as needed.
  • Prepare and track UPS shipments.
  • Pick up and deliver tooling as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred, but not required).
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure quality and delivery requirements.
  • Strong team player with a commitment to the organization.
