Job Title: Speech Pathologist - Feeding Therapy Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Feeding Therapy Specialist. As a key member of our homecare team, you will provide high-quality speech and feeding interventions to patients, helping them improve their communication and feeding skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and thorough documentation of patient records consistent with agency standards.
  • Practice within the Scope of Practice and comply with all policies, laws, licensure, regulations, and standards for care pertaining to the delivery of home care services.
  • Demonstrate competent theoretical and technical skills pertinent to patient populations being served, including dysphagia, speech/language pathology, communication skills, cognition, voice, and feeding skills.
  • Demonstrate compliance with patient care coordination, including weekly and monthly chart audits, utilization, infection control, improvement in corrective action plans, and attendance at staff and training meetings.
  • When assigned, demonstrate effective primary patient care coordination with all disciplines.
  • Follow the patient care process, including thoroughly identifying and evaluating functional and rehabilitative needs, identifying and prioritizing patient needs, developing and implementing appropriate care plans and goals, adjusting and updating care plans as needed, appropriately coordinating patient care with other disciplines, providing appropriate education to patients and families, and consistently following the established care plan.
  • Demonstrate the efficient use of resources by effectively managing time, supplies, and equipment and by meeting established productivity standards.

Requirements:

  • Valid/current Utah Speech Language Pathology License.
  • Current driver's license, insured, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to access the Internet or a phone line transferring patient files twice a day.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current certificate of clinical competence.

  • Hearing/Listening, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing Seeing, Speaking.
