Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care to residents in a Long Term Care facility, under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, walking, and transferring
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition to the licensed nurse
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
  • Assist with range of motion exercises and other therapeutic activities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect resident's rights and dignity

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care facility
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic math skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
