The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Principal in the general administration of the school, including the development of staff, evaluation of curricula, and administration of school regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Principal in the development of the staff, through supervisory activities and teacher appraisal programs.
  • Evaluate, review, and develop curricula in the building.
  • Assist in the development of the master schedule, preparation of student schedules, and report card processing.
  • Administer school and systems regulations regarding attendance and student conduct.
  • Assist with requisitioning of books, supplies, and equipment, conducting inventories, and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Assist parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
  • Serve as liaison to the Information Services Department, Juvenile Court, Akron Alternative Academy, PTA, and other groups or institutions as requested by the Principal.
  • Confer with non-professional staff on matters related to the daily operation of the school.
  • Temporarily assume the responsibility of the Principal when directed.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
