We are seeking a skilled and experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at DocStar Medical Partners in North Hollywood, CA.
About the JobThis is a locum position available for 3 months with a Monday - Saturday schedule. The work hours will be divided into two blocks: morning (8AM-5PM) and afternoon/evening (12PM-8PM or 8AM-8PM). You will have the flexibility to choose your preferred block each day. Saturdays will be open from 8AM-12PM.
The patient volume is approximately 20-22 patients per day, with an average of 18-20 patients seen daily due to the no-show rate. The first slot is dedicated to a team huddle, while the last slot is allocated for administrative work.
Responsibilities- Patient care and treatment within the scope of general internal medicine.
- Assess and manage patients' medical conditions, perform routine check-ups, and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines, and participating in on-call rotations for emergency situations.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid CA medical license.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine (BC) or Board Eligibility within 5 years (BE).
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), specifically Nextgen.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
A BC/BE in Family Medicine is acceptable, but experience in General Internal Medicine is preferred.
