Operations Manager, Production

HelloFresh is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Production to lead our high-volume prep, cook, and plating production kitchen and fulfillment center. As a key member of our operations team, you will drive the culture and lead daily activities, working closely with our Director of Operations to build and execute the operational roadmap for our flagship production and fulfillment center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Build and establish a strong team with a leadership pipeline, coaching and developing talent within each functional area of fulfillment (Kitchen, Prepping, Plating, Food Safety & Quality, and Fulfillment).
  • Relationship Building: Develop trust, credibility, and effective, collaborative relationships with Factor_ peers and direct reports.
  • Liaison: Serve as the liaison between site operations and other functions within Headquarters, helping your team identify key priorities for the site.
  • Execution and Goals: Develop high standards for execution to meet all KPIs and financial metrics, supporting your team in achieving daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals.
  • Communication: Ensure adequate communication of company goals and priorities to the Production Center team, leading monthly meetings to engage and inspire a diverse, growing workforce.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of management experience leading an industrial kitchen or production operations center, preferably in food service or food production.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to think strategically, communicate at the executive level, and possess top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF, and APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (preferred).
  • Language: Proficient in both English and Spanish.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage 100+ employees a day, driving our culture and success.
  • Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Lean and Agile Production, comprehensive background in Prepping, Cooking, Plating, Food Safety & Quality, and Fulfillment.
  • Interest: Interest in spending most of your time on the shop floor, working directly with all levels of staff.
