Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Lab Technician PRN to join our team. As a Sleep Lab Technician PRN, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, working closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct polysomnographic procedures, including Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
  • Review and verify patient history, physical condition, and study protocol
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards
  • Perform physiologic calibrations and ensure collection of accurate data
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events
  • Implement appropriate interventions, including continuous and bi-Level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.
  • Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to center-specific protocols
  • Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data
Requirements
  • Experience with evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in Polysomnography or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician
  • RPSGT Certification and CPR or BCLS Certification
