Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel MRI Technologist to join our team in Tyler, Texas. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with state-of-the-art imaging equipment and provide high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist will work independently performing complex procedures, utilizing various imaging equipment and computers. They must be able to provide basic MRI screening, prepare maintenance, and repairs, as well as participate in QA and resolve issues related to MRI safety.

This role requires the technologist to have quick and technical decision-making skills to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology. Ongoing participation in MR education, safety protocol development, quality assurance, and technical advances is integrated with clinical scanning. The incumbent must demonstrate adherence to the organization's mission, values, and culture through their behavior and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, some of which are more complex in nature, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Demonstrate competency with respect to MRI exams, procedures, and the use of pressurized injection equipment.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy type procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Program the computer to ensure completion of exam and all scan data is correctly stored on PACS for future reference.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or Clinical setting preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical Imaging setting is highly preferred.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • BLS required.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $1926-$2046 per week, based on a 40-hour workweek. This translates to approximately $17-$20 per hour. In addition to the hourly wage, a tax-free stipend of $1246 is also provided.
