Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Tech to join our team at Eagleville Hospital. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our patients to promote their rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the nurse and treatment team in providing a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Participate in nursing shift report to stay updated on patient status.
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and assist in the management of behavioral emergencies.
  • Provide patient orientation and search new admissions.
  • Assist with basic nursing procedures, including vital signs, weights, and personal hygiene.
  • Transport patients and provide care for psychiatric patients.
  • Supervise patients on 1:1 and special precautions.
  • Make hourly rounds and document patient locations.

Requirements:
  • 24 credit Certification in Behavior Health required.
  • Associate degree or 60 college credits completed in a Bachelor level program preferred.
  • Current enrolled Nursing students with completion of 1 semester of clinical rotation will be considered.
  • Experience with drug/alcohol or psychiatric patients preferred.
  • Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Ability to handle occasional heavy lifting and regular medium lifting.
  • Extensive walking and standing required.
  • Ability to climb a minimum of three flights of stairs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
