Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital as a Travel Nurse RN. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-oriented environment, providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities
  • Certification and Licensure
    • New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate is required.
    • Training completion from Welle or CPI for onboarding and clearance is mandatory.
    • Current NY License, ACLS, and BLS certifications are necessary.
  • Job Details
    • Effective immediately, you must include your New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate with all nursing submissions.
    • COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not required.
    • As of January 1, 2024, all new and returning agency staff must have completed training from one of the following groups for onboarding and clearance.
  • Requirements
    • Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
    • You must be comfortable working nights and able to hit the ground running.
    • Strong proficiency and experience working on Cardiac/Tele, Med-Tele Units are necessary.
    • You must have telemetry experience.
    • You must be able to comfortably follow department expectations to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms 2x/shift.
    • Neuro/stroke experience is encouraged.

    • Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
    • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
    • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (Current NY License, ACLS, BLS)
  • Schedule Information
    • You must be able to follow and comfortably follow department expectations to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms 2x/shift.
    • Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload.
    • RTO requests after upload will not be approved.
    • No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).
    • No block scheduling will be considered for this need.
  • Unit Specific Information
    • The unit consists mainly of tele/cardiac patients.
    • The number of beds in the unit is 16.
    • The RN to Patient ratio is 4:1.
    • The patient population is adult and geriatric.
    • The dress code is any color scrubs.
    • The unit is a remote tele unit.
  • Additional Details
    • Traveler candidates must have their own vehicle.
    • Clinicians must be reliable, with no attendance concerns, call-outs, etc. The unit is very patient-oriented.
    • Travelers from the following counties in New York will not be considered for travel assignments at Glens Falls: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington; Permanent address must be included in profile.
