We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our local transportation group and take on a broad range of responsibilities supporting quality delivery, sales growth, and an unmatched client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project management plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Lead pursuit planning and execution to secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with office and area leadership to solve challenges and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage project finances, including cash, budget, schedule, and project scope, to ensure adherence to project goals and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor the local team to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Partner with other local leaders to determine project staffing needs, including recruitment, hiring, career development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Lead pursuits of complex projects and/or actively involved as part of the pursuit team for these projects.
  • Enhance communication, coordination, and cooperation of the local design team to work as a cohesive unit.
  • Obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification within 1 year of hire date through CDM Smith's Global Delivery Excellence Framework (GDEF) program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience managing large and complex transportation roadway, highway, and/or bridge design projects for INDOT.
  • P.E., Professional Engineer, certification.
  • Previous business development experience, for transportation projects in IN.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline.
