Unique Skills:
Proficient in wire routing, termination, and repair. Experience with 3D modeling is advantageous.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Completion of two (2) years of accredited training in aviation electronics or two (2) years of relevant work experience is required, or an avionics certification from an accredited institution along with one (1) year of pertinent work experience.
Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and customer specifications is essential.Ability to interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is necessary.
Position Purpose:
With minimal supervision, assists in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, and functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Assists in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and related equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
Completes tasks within designated time frames.
Ensures that all work performed meets relevant regulatory standards and customer specifications.
Conducts thorough checks to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Adheres to the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
Keeps a clean and organized work area.
Additional Functions:
Takes proper care of and maintains shop equipment and tools as directed by the Supervisor.
Engages in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Proficiency in computer skills and general software knowledge is necessary.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
