Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality and timely custom panel designs for xGen hybridization and amplicon during the pre-sales phase.
  • Offer technical product assistance to clients through presentations, conference calls, and email communications.
  • Collaborate with other service departments and sales teams to address product inquiries, customer concerns, and technical questions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Provide design and analytical support for collaborative projects, strategic partnerships, and the development of NGS applications.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of NGS applications with a minimum of 3 years in the genomics field preferred.
  • Experience in designing custom capture panels for target enrichment, with at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate complex scientific, interpersonal, regulatory, and business matters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a customer support or client-facing capacity.
  • Advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience in NGS library preparation and targeted resequencing workflows.
  • Familiarity with NGS bioinformatics algorithms/software, particularly with Python and Galaxy.
