Electrical Engineer Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a unique government contract. The contract involves acquisition and technical sustainment engineering to augment government resources. As a Nuclear Hardness Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team providing engineering, technical, and administrative expertise to the government to maintain their nuclear hardness program in accordance with Department of Defense, United States Strategic Command, and Air Force directives, manuals, and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and technical expertise to the government to maintain nuclear hardness program
  • Work on a high-performing team to augment government resources
  • Collaborate with government agencies to ensure system reliability and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement solutions to ensure electromagnetic compatibility
  • Conduct research and analysis to improve system design and performance

Requirements:

  • 3 years of electrical experience (2+ years with a MS)
  • Eligible candidates must be able to acquire a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals
  • Ability to sit on-site at Hill AFB in Clearfield, UT
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • College-level courses in Fundamentals of Electricity & Magnetism, Electromagnetics & Transmission Lines, and related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) / Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or experience with Spice or Microcap or similar circuit modeling software
  • Experience in design or test to verify models
  • Active Secret Clearance
