Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Intern to join our team as a Satellite Communications Engineer. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities- Work on software development projects, including the creation of tools for subsystem engineers and the operations floor
- Update or create operational work products, such as scripts, procedures, and checklists
- Perform engineering investigations and analysis of various satellite subsystems
- Conduct simulations and present results
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with software development using languages such as Perl, Python, MATLAB, Java script, and JAVA
- Knowledge of satellite subsystems and operations, including attitude determination and control, electrical power, thermal management, propulsion, computers and electronics, and RF communications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering bachelors or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be eligible to work in person
