Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing highly diversified and highly skilled duties to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facilities. The position requires extensive knowledge and experience to complete work orders using skilled maintenance techniques, including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, heating, air conditioning, and CNC mechanical/electrical repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex mechanic skills, including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, cranes, and welding equipment. Read and interpret mechanical/electrical equipment manuals to diagnose, adjust, and/or repair machine malfunctions and operating difficulties during emergency and unscheduled downtime.
  • Rebuild complicated machines, components, and attachments, involving dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
  • Perform advanced mechanic activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment, including disconnection and reconnection, dismantling and erecting, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
  • Perform all segments of maintenance on the building, facilities, and grounds.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, production equipment, and facilities equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.
  • Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
  • Submit purchasing requests for additional parts and service.
  • Assist the supervisor in determining the nature and scope of projects and the requirements for completion.
  • May direct work and assist in training of less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Work safely and follow Toshiba's Safety Policy.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Tools and Equipment
  • Hand and power tools, machine tools, and new equipment as required.
  • Forklift or scissor lift use required.
  • Limited computer and basic office equipment use.
Requirements
  • Requires one to three years of trades training and three to five years of progressively responsible related experience, or eight to ten years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Expert mechanical aptitude and experience with the ability to perform complex troubleshooting and rebuilds.
  • Must be certifiable for Fork Truck operation.
  • Must be able to work at altitudes of 100ft. maximum.
  • Must be trainable to operate a boom lift and scissor lift.
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to train and direct others.
Education and Training
  • Skilled trades training in a related field preferred.
