Job Summary:The LPN IV will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the direction of the RN. This includes administering medications, documenting care, and responding to medical emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in pharmacology and documentation, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications, including IV therapy, to patients according to hospital policy
- Document patient care in the medical record
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate CPR or appropriate action
- Collaborate with the RN to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education to patients and families on health-related topics
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Tennessee
- Completion of a vocational school LPN program and a formal IV therapy training program
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong foundation in pharmacology and documentation
