Advanced Practice Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team in Internal and Family Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical assessments, treatments, and clearances for patients, employees, and external customers.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care, facilitating patient teaching and support programs.
- Evaluate current protocols and standards of care, translating best practices into clinical practice.
- Apply evidence and value-based practices to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
- Prescribe medications, recommend over-the-counter medications, and initiate laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and consult with other healthcare team members to achieve results.
- Provide accurate, systematic, and organized documentation of findings, recommendations, and education.
- Participate in continuing education, maintaining documentation and developing a personal plan of development in clinical expertise.
- Provide culturally diverse and educationally appropriate education in relation to patient care and needs.
- Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, patients, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Participate in policy and procedure reviews, promoting excellence in care and clinical outcomes.
- Promote a collaborative work environment, supporting the organizational mission, behavior expectations, and values.
- Promote innovation within clinical practice, seeking opportunities to bring new clinical knowledge into practice.
- Identify ethical care issues and coordinate interdisciplinary collaborative meetings to resolve those issues.
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
- Masters Degree.
- Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs and clinical practice as mandated by the Board of Nursing and national certification body.
- Experience in relevant patient care settings or as regulations dictate.
- Masters Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
- Valid Driver's license.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Certification (with Master's Degree).
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
