Solutions Engineering at Cloudflare

Cloudflare's solutions engineering (SE) function collaborates with clients throughout the product lifecycle, from early-stage ideation through to planning for production. Our Solutions Engineers sit alongside peers in our clients' teams, contributing their expertise, ideas, and opinions on solving complex problems.

As a European Enterprise Solutions Architect, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the team's communication, collaboration, and culture. You will coach SE colleagues across Southern Europe to excel in sales and technical disciplines, work closely with Enterprise prospects and customers, and ensure a high standard of customer success.

You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, enabling, and managing the technical pre-sales performance of Solutions Engineers within your charge. You will also coordinate the team's resources to have the greatest customer impact and provide guidance when specific assistance is required or escalate early and engage the correct resources at the right time.

About the Role

Your Responsibilities

  • Hiring and Onboarding: Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage the Solutions Engineering team in Southern Europe, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them excel in their roles.
  • Customer Success: Work closely with Enterprise prospects and customers to understand their needs and deliver Cloudflare solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Technical Pre-Sales: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Account Executives and Customer Success leads, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across teams.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate knowledge transfer between SE teams, ensuring best practices and lessons learned are shared across the organization.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 3 years in a prior leadership role, with a minimum of 10 years related industry experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in coaching, leadership skills, or team management.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding and solving escalations, team issues, or other management-related scenarios.
  • A proven track record of successfully partnering with account executives and customer success teams to deliver Cloudflare solutions to customers.
  • A proven track record in technical pre-sales domain.
  • A proven knowledge of the enterprise market in Southern Europe (in particular France).
