Medical Director

Job Summary:

Health Advocates Network is seeking a skilled Physician to join our team in providing high-quality medical care to inmates in a correctional environment. As a Physician, you will be responsible for conducting medical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and prescribing treatments. You will also be required to educate patients about preventive healthcare and ensure that minor medical procedures are performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting medical/physical examinations;
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and diagnosing medical conditions;
• Prescribing medications and treatment;
• Educating patients about preventive health care;
• Ensuring minor medical procedures are performed on-site;

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy;
• Must be board eligible (completed residency) or board certified (passed all requirements or exams), by the appropriate board recognized by the American Medical Association, in one of the following specialty areas: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or Preventive Medicine;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing medical care in a Colorado State correctional environment;
• Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine;
• Experience managing chronic medical conditions as a Physician.
