We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to join the Data Streaming Platform team at Selby Jennings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable data streaming infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Architect Scalable Solutions: Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data streaming solutions using Kafka and Flink.
  • Implement and Manage Containerized Applications: Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Develop Automation Scripts and Tools: Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of the data streaming platform.
  • Manage and Optimize Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring cost-effectiveness and performance.
  • Implement Best Practices for CI/CD, Monitoring, and Logging: Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and logging to maintain the health and performance of the data streaming platform.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data streaming, infrastructure, and application performance.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (10+ years) as a DevOps Architect or similar role, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Kafka and Flink for data streaming and processing, extensive experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, proficiency in Python for scripting and automation, and deep understanding of AWS services and architecture.
  • Soft Skills: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK stack).
Work Arrangement

This role requires the candidate to work in the Chicago or Dallas office, with a split schedule of 3 days in-person and 2 days remote.
