CUMULUS MEDIA operates a diverse range of 7 radio stations in the Oklahoma City area, including popular formats such as Mainstream Rock, Rhythmic Top 40, ESPN Radio, Adult Hits, and Sports Talk. Our network engages thousands of listeners daily, providing a vibrant platform for local and syndicated programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the control board in a radio station environment, managing both live and pre-recorded programming.
- Ensure timely playback of commercials and maintain accurate commercial and transmitter logs.
- Select and manage bumper music as necessary, ensuring smooth transitions between segments.
- Update and monitor weather, traffic, and news reports through automation systems.
- Stay alert for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news updates.
- Oversee the technical quality and precision of on-air programming from the master control room.
- Assist in adjusting signals and programming content to comply with federal broadcast standards.
- Some experience in college radio or small market radio is preferred.
- Prior experience in board operation is advantageous.
- Proficiency in audio production is required.
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and EAS guidelines is essential.
- Competence in using software such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge, Nuendo, and Adobe Audition.
- Basic knowledge of electronic wiring and sound system setup is beneficial.
- Experience with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio broadcasts is a plus.
