Position Overview:

The Operational Technology Cybersecurity Specialist will leverage expertise in OT Cybersecurity to design robust network architectures, pinpoint vulnerabilities that may jeopardize operations, assess systems for cyber threats, and create and deploy OT cybersecurity monitoring frameworks. This role encompasses both remote and onsite engagements at various commercial, industrial, or governmental sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement OT security measures and conduct comprehensive security assessments, which may involve physical security evaluations, technical configuration audits, and personnel interviews.
  • Collaborate with engineers to draft and refine security documentation, ensuring adherence to security protocols and enhancing the organization's overall security posture.
  • Identify and report security vulnerabilities, incidents, or compliance issues to the information systems security manager or relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage with vendors and understand various ICS and SCADA technologies and their network protocols.
  • Analyze and propose enhancements to industrial control system architectures in line with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in OT, industrial control systems (ICS), or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technologies, alongside cybersecurity and risk management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and federal guidelines for securing ICS and SCADA systems, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-37, NIST 800-82, NIST 800-53, IEC 62443, or ISO.
  • Proficiency in analyzing security risk assessment tools and developing mitigation strategies for networking systems.
  • Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, as well as networking concepts including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and network-connected devices.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required; a Master's degree and relevant certifications such as CAP, CCTS, GICSP, or ISO 27001 Auditor are preferred.
