Our initiatives encompass various focal points. Our primary areas of expertise include (but are not limited to):
  • Program analysis, focusing on program comprehension, vulnerability detection, and remediation strategies
  • Malware examination and reverse engineering techniques
  • Resilient networking to support cyber mission objectives

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; no experience required with a PhD
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific/engineering field.
  • A strong willingness and capability to rapidly assimilate knowledge in new subject areas
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or similar
  • Familiarity with Linux, MacOS, Windows, and mobile operating systems, platforms, and their internals
  • Understanding of contemporary computer networking technologies
  • Knowledge of modern development practices and toolsets (Git, Subversion, CI/CD toolchains)
Additional Skills (not mandatory, but advantageous):
  • Experience in a leadership role on software development projects or research teams
  • Experience as a Principal Investigator on Department of Defense/Intelligence Community research initiatives
  • Background in business development, including technical marketing, idea generation, and crafting whitepapers and proposals for new projects.
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains:
    • Program Analysis
    • Design and/or analysis of computer networking protocols
    • Compute and network emulation, containerization, and virtualization techniques
    • Reverse Engineering methodologies
    • Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
    • Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technologies
  • Familiarity with various tools and frameworks, including:
    • Binary Analysis Tools, such as GHIDRA, Hex-Rays IDA, Binary Ninja, Angr
    • Debugging and Sandboxing tools, including Cuckoo Sandbox, OllyDBG, WinDbg
    • CNO toolsets, such as Metasploit, Cobalt Strike
    • Network emulation frameworks like CORE, EMANE, MiniNet
    • Container and orchestration solutions, including Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Terraform
    • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile development methodologies
  • Background in the U.S. Department of Defense/Intelligence Community research environment

Compensation Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this role based on experience and other relevant factors.
