Job Overview

As a Driver Performance Consultant at Hirschbach Motor Lines, you will play a crucial role in guiding drivers to enhance their professional driving capabilities. Your focus will encompass various aspects such as financial performance, safety protocols, maintenance standards, compliance regulations, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and identify strategies to improve the overall driver experience, addressing factors that may lead to turnover, including compensation structures, safe driving practices, maintenance schedules, customer service, and operational efficiencies.
  • Supervise and mentor Driver Development Coordinators, providing support in their daily responsibilities and managing escalated issues.
  • Facilitate weekly discussions with Driver Leaders to address potential concerns related to utilization, home time, payroll, and equipment challenges.
  • Conduct retention meetings to analyze turnover trends, identify obstacles, propose solutions, and share success stories.
  • Build rapport with drivers by showing genuine interest in their personal goals and family dynamics.
  • Oversee at-risk action items, including managing escalated tickets, monitoring open issues, and ensuring timely resolutions for drivers on the Verification of Employment list.
  • Respond to and resolve all Workhound feedback promptly on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, along with relevant professional experience.
  • Preferred one to three years of experience in the transportation sector.
  • Previous leadership experience is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong ability to process information accurately and energetically.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications and adept at navigating various software programs.
  • Exhibit a proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn in a dynamic and demanding environment.
