We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, craniotomies, and embolizations.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, including the use of external ventricular drains, ICP monitors, CRRT, and targeted temperature management.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, including referrals to home health services and rehabilitation programs.
- Participate in daily shift huddles and multidisciplinary patient rounds to review patient care goals and ensure high-quality care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin or compact state.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
