Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at a hospital in Farmville, Virginia. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for testing by administering radioactive drugs. You will work under the supervision of a physician to help patients understand the procedure, prepare and deliver radioactive drugs, operate equipment, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radioactive drugs to patients
- Prepare patients for testing by explaining the procedure and ensuring they are comfortable and secure
- Operate equipment to capture images and data
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a relevant setting and specialty
- ARRT/NMTCB Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
