Construction Model Designer

Malcolm International LLC is seeking a skilled construction model designer to provide 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD, Sketchup and/or other civil engineering software. Your key responsibilities will include constructing models from project plans and specifications to help our project staff and clients understand and visualize the work to be completed on a project. You'll also revise designs based on client feedback and clearly communicate updates about the team's design process. Additionally, you will be involved in assisting our estimating teams with completing quantity takeoffs. If you're experienced and want to be in a place where you can grow your career in the construction industry, we have a spot for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D models based upon construction plans and specifications
- Estimating takeoffs
- Construction Scheduling (willing to train)
- Provide construction models for proposals and project planning
Requirements:
- Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies
- At least 5 years of experience in construction design and planning
- 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
- Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, SketchUp, Tekla, Trimble, Microstation, and/or Synchro
- Primavera P3 experience desired, but not required
- Knowledge of Bluebeam software
- Construction background preferred
