Position Overview:
The Critical Facility Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the operational integrity of data center systems. This position focuses on delivering exceptional service and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work autonomously and collaboratively to perform preventative maintenance, service, and repairs on critical facility infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Responding promptly to emergency situations and troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Documenting daily facility parameters such as power availability, temperature, and humidity to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Utilizing safe working practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and good housekeeping methods.
- Interpreting technical documents, including wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings, to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
- Training and mentoring junior technicians to enhance team knowledge and skills.
- Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $47.00 to $47.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least 6 years of relevant experience. A Journeyman Electrician License or Journeyman HVAC License is required. Candidates must also have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes typical office conditions, as well as exposure to equipment and varying temperatures.
