Position Overview:

The Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to a diverse patient population, ensuring the highest standards of respiratory therapy are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer therapeutic treatments to patients across various demographics.
  • Conduct bedside diagnostic assessments as required.
  • Evaluate and update respiratory care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Perform patient evaluations and modify care plans as necessary.
  • Mentor and guide new staff and students in respiratory therapy practices.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Possession of a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
  • Current state licensure for respiratory care practitioners.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required within a specified timeframe.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and STABLE certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to be on call as needed.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
