Hospice Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Hospice Registered Nurse to provide exceptional end-of-life care to patients and their families in Mandeville, Covington, Slidell, and Hammond, Louisiana.

• Manage pain and symptoms, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and deliver holistic care tailored to individual needs.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient's plan of care.
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments.
• Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication, and other supplies.
• Educate family on the patient's prognosis, changes in care plan, medication, and hospice goals.
• Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient's mind, body, spirit, and family.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospice nursing experience.
• CPR certification.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills, and compassion.
