Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Hospital. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, and administration of medication orders.
  • Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
  • Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
  • Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
  • Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY1 or hospital experience in a critical care setting preferred.
