Job Title: Delivery Van Driver

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Delivery Van Driver to join our team at the State of Minnesota. As a Delivery Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting residents, delivering packages and parcels, and maintaining vehicles and machinery in operational order.

Responsibilities:
  • Transporting residents and medical equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Familiarity with the facility's safe work practices and infection prevention programs
  • Inspections of vehicles and conducting minor repairs
  • Transport packages, furniture, medication, biohazards, and deliverables in a timely manner
  • Enhance and support the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors
  • Perform minor building/ground maintenance such as pick up litter and maintain garbage receptacles
  • Tracking work orders in electronic system
Requirements:
  • A valid Minnesota Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or higher with passenger endorsement
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
  • Must be able to obtain a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification /First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults
Additional Requirements:
  • A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position
  • Finalists may be required to pass a job-related pre-employment physical assessment
  • A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment
  • Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists
  • Finalists will be subject to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident and return-to-duty drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations
