Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Steppingstones - Birth to Three Program team at HARC Inc. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to families and their children from birth to age three.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine speech and language skills in children
  • Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and trans-disciplinary teams
  • Provide coaching and support to families to help them develop strategies to enhance their child's speech and language skills
  • Collaborate with other professionals to prioritize speech and language goals and develop measurable improvement criteria
  • Facilitate transitions between early intervention services and school-based services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and assist families in accessing these resources
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Therapy and CT Licensed Speech Therapist
  • Familiarity with Carolina Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers with Special needs and other assessment instruments
  • Strong understanding of trans-disciplinary, primary service provider model, and family-centered practices
  • Service coordination training required
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel for Windows and ability to format and print documents
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in Part C regulations guiding the school system and how it differs from Part B
  • Strong ability to work in trans-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate warmly and effectively with people with strong skills in interviewing and relationship building

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
