Distribution Center Director

Mckesson is seeking a seasoned leader to fill the role of Distribution Center Leader at our state-of-the-art fully automated distribution center in Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver top-notch service to customers, inspiring and motivating team members to achieve daily performance standards and metrics.
- Oversee all areas of the distribution center, including inventory management, inbound receiving, outbound picking and shipping operations, facility maintenance, and a private fleet of over 60 vehicles.
- Develop and implement improved procedures and practices to achieve financial objectives, ensuring timely receipt, picking, and shipping of product orders.
- Lead and develop warehouse and transportation teams, fostering a positive engagement culture and promoting teamwork and productivity.
- Ensure the security and quality of products and orders, monitoring productivity, overtime, and attrition to maintain a stable workforce.
- 12+ years of operational experience, including 10+ years of managerial experience.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and influence cohesive teams.
- Experience managing P&L for a large organization, with a strategic thinker's ability to dig deep into details for problem resolution.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to process data and leverage it to influence critical business decisions and priorities.
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar Warehouse Management Systems.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, take initiative, and perform under pressure.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence others and engage the workforce.
