Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Operator to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our boiler house, ensuring a continuous steam supply to our hospital for heat, hot water, sterilization, and related uses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Boiler Systems: Start and stop boilers, adjust controls to maintain required steam supply, and monitor boiler firing rate, flame conditions, water level, flue temperature, and fuel supply.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Check safety devices and relays on each boiler, feed water pumps and supply system, natural gas system regulators, automatic valves, and vents for leaks and proper operation.
  • Monitor and Control Systems: Check air compressor, dryer, filters, and blow downs, as well as flue gas system for proper operation, including automatic dampers, damper controllers, and heat recovery equipment.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to Boiler House Procedure Manual and related boiler codes at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of high-pressure steam boiler operation and repair experience, with emphasis on high-pressure pumps and electro-pneumatic controls.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Valid Driver's License.

We offer a competitive pay range based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
