About the Role

This Expert Facility Planner will play a critical role in ensuring that architectural designs for capital projects at the South San Francisco site meet Roche/Genentech corporate standards and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain site-specific architectural design standards, aligning with corporate guidelines and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to coordinate design input, options analysis, and adherence to requirements outlined in the Engineering Manual.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of architectural design projects.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, leveraging LEAN principles to enhance team performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent required.
  • Registered Architect – Licensed in the State of California.
  • 10+ years of experience in facility/interior design, including 3+ years in life science laboratory and GMP/pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
  • Experience as an architectural lead for multiple complex capital projects within pharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Significant experience with cGMP compliant design highly desirable.
  • LEED certification, project management, LEAN/Six Sigma certification, and/or experience working in a campus environment are assets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, collaborative, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills are essential.
  • Good working knowledge of project design and construction is necessary.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $132,100 - $245,300 USD, based on primary location (California). A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
