Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor entrances and exits, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
  • Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process, preventing unauthorized access and protecting physical assets.
  • Observe and report activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
  • Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Respond to unusual or emergency situations at client sites using the appropriate escalation of force level, up to and including armed response, following established protocol.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site, pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Patrol assigned sites on foot, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and other potential risks.
  • Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to supervisors or company management.
  • Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  • Prepare logs and reports as required.
Requirements
  • Valid CLEET Armed Security License.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and ethical professional.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Work will be performed in a security environment, requiring long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, running, climbing multiple flights of stairs, lifting objects up to 50 pounds repetitively, and operating security vehicles.
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions, firearms, hazardous materials, and chemicals, possible infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and potentially aggressive/violent members of the public.
  • Must have 20/20 vision, either corrected or uncorrected, in each eye, with no night blindness or other visual deficiency or limitation.
  • Possess hearing with less than 30 Db loss, either corrected or uncorrected, in each ear.
  • Firearms qualification is mandatory, with both semiautomatic pistol and shotgun, achieving a minimum score of 175 out of 250 on the standard pistol qualification course and successfully completing a 25-round shotgun qualification course scored as pass/fail.
  • Must be able to fire weapons with both hands.
  • Must be able to complete a 300-meter sprint within 78 seconds.
  • Fit for Work physicals will be required prior to employment, and may also be required during employment. Mandatory and random drug screening will be required throughout employment.
  • Current armed security license for the State in which hired is required.
