We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home health services to patients in Paco county. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and a current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist.


The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, teaching, and delivering therapy interventions and treatment directed by the Physician as established in the home health plan of care. This will include performing initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate mobility, coordination, strength and current level of function.


The Occupational Therapist will also be responsible for administration, evaluation, and interpretation of tests and measurements to determine functional goals and outcomes. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will provide a written evaluation and plan of care defining occupational therapy needs, goals, progress and expected outcomes.


The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient well-being. This will include participating in coordination of services with health care team, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, etc.


The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for maintaining effective communication between staff, healthcare team members and family. The Occupational Therapist will also serve as a resource consultant for clinical staff.


The Occupational Therapist will be required to complete OASIS assessments where allowed by state professional practice and regulation.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university/program.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • Valid CPR
