- Proficiency in using Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinets and CII Safe
- Background in inpatient hospital settings, including both distributive and clinical responsibilities
- Familiarity with clean room protocols
Key Responsibilities:
Typical tasks performed in this role include:
- Dispensing activities such as mixing and verifying IV solutions, preparing patient-specific dosages, managing Pyxis loads, reviewing Technician outputs, pharmacokinetic dosing, heparin drip management, Coumadin dosing, chart assessments, renal dose adjustments, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, IV to PO conversions, and discharge medication reconciliation.
