Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Nurturing Home Healthcare Agency team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients in exercising or practicing daily functional tasks, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will also be responsible for reviewing and administering individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate patient records, and setting up equipment and tools for each patient. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment, and provide mentorship and encouragement to patients going through major life changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in exercising or practicing daily functional tasks, correcting form and ensuring their safety
  • Review and administer individualized treatment plans for each patient, taking into account their unique needs and goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information
  • Set up and prepare equipment and tools for each patient, ensuring that they have everything they need to receive the best possible care
  • Provide mentorship and encouragement to patients, helping them to stay motivated and engaged in their treatment plans
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols

Requirements
  • Current state licensing for physical therapy assistance required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • The ability to create a positive and nurturing environment, with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of stress and pressure
