Job Summary:

As a Mammography Technologist at John Muir Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, assuming responsibility for patient needs during procedures, and performing procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures, including monitoring patient vital signs, responding to patient concerns, and providing emotional support.
• Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual.
• Maintains and acquires CE units as required by the State/National agencies.
• Maintains certification and licensure requirements, including CRT, CRT Fluoroscopy, BLS, and Rad Techs.

Requirements:

• AMA Approved School of Radiologic Technology - Required.
• Certificate Venipuncture - Required if performing CT or within 6 months of assuming position.
• Radiologic Technologist - Certified (CRT) Current California - Required.
• CRT Fluoroscopy - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Required. For new hires, the technologist must obtain a fluoroscopy permit within 6 months.
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required.
• Rad Techs - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Required.
• CRT Mammography - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Required if performing.
• Mammography - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Preferred if performing.

Work Environment:

This position is exempt from overtime under the level of Manager. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.

Pay Range:
$77.49 Hourly. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Note:

Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
