Position Summary and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations and provide direct patient care.
  • Design and assess individualized patient care strategies.
  • Oversee the activities of non-licensed nursing personnel.
  • Integrate educational components into nursing practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred within two years of employment.
  • Valid Texas RN license or accepted compact license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • At least one year of recent experience as a NICU RN in a Level III or IV acute care setting.
  • STABLE certification must be achieved within 18 months of starting the position.
