Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon to join our medical team at OSF HealthCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and endoscopic surgery.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions, including cancer, hernias, and gallstones.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in surgical techniques.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in medicine (M.D.) or osteopathic medicine (D.O.)
  • Board certification or board eligibility in general surgery
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Illinois
  • Eligible to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
