We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Endocrine Hospitalist Team at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC.

About the Role

As an Endocrine Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional quality inpatient endocrine and diabetes care to our patients. You will work closely with our team of physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of our hospital's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to patients with endocrine and diabetes-related conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and treat patients with endocrine and diabetes-related conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage patient care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington, DC
  • Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
  • CDS and DEA required
  • Two years of Diabetes Endocrinology experience preferred
  • Board-Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) preferred
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
